My third novel in the "Immortal Relations" series, "Immortal Relations Coming Out" is an adult paranormal-romance in which our guardian vampires, sworn to protect humans and animals not only from evil vampires and human criminals but the most dangerous creatures of all, evil politicians seeking absolute control over their people to convert them from citizens to slaves to a supreme government...a government "of, by and for those in control. Now, faced with a Marxist regime in control in Washington that is fostering a runaway debt in an effort to bankrupt the country a group of these guardian vampires moves into position in lower Canada from which they can monitor the unconstitutional actions of the rouge regime and prepare to aid American patriots to reclaim their God given rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness by ousting the minions of the corrupt government!

Having saved mankind several times over in "Immortal Relations, Love and War" the good vampires discuss the idea of coming out to the humans in order to form a strong symbiotic relationship with them; however, historically all has not gone well when humans become aware that vampires, even good ones, are in their midst. The regime in Washington is trying to find who was responsible for helping thwart the Chinese Communist invasion of Siberia (from which Washington had hopes of getting additional loans in order to buy more votes to further their aim of abrogating the Constitution & Bill of Rights so as to codify a dictatorship headed by their Marxist regime. Gaining incomplete information, the thugs in Washington go off "half-cocked" and try to murder a man they determine was a key player in the defeat of the invasion by their Communist friends. Historically for this rogue regime what they attempt often backfires and so it is in this case as well. Watch as the regimes efforts fail and only solidify the resolve of the Canadians with whom the vampires have become friends to not cooperate with the evil that Washington seeks to impose. While the scenarios may appear fictitious, they are based upon Washington's actions in somewhat similar cases.

I left a post on a Blog for visiting Authors, that was discussing Owls, that I thought someone might enjoy reading on my own Blog:

Oh, I love Owls! When I was a teenager (in the 50s) I saw what looked like a ball of fur laying in the middle of the two lane road (fortunately one that wasn’t all that heavily traveled at the time – today I’m sure it is an eight lane freeway). Anyway, I stopped my old car and upon looking realized it was a baby Owl that had fallen out of it’s next. I had a small wicker box that I gentle placed it into and took it to the local vet who pronounced it alive and just in need of some TLC. I took it home and put it in my parent’s little washer and dryer room that was between the Kitchen and Garage and which had a bathroom off as well as a door that lead into the back yard. I got a big wire cage for the little thing and fed it raw liver (as recommended by the Vet) that I cut into small pieces and feed to it on tweezers – poking it into it’s beak. It would make the funniest little “waa-waa” noise and I put down paper so it could fly and “duky” in the room during the night and part of the day, putting it in it’s cage and covering it so it would sleep some during the day. After about a year, the Owl had gotten pretty good size and I put it outside along with a small dish in which I’d put cut up raw liver. I think it ate a little of the liver and then flew off. Not the end of the story however! I had just become a Senior at Los Altos High School in Northern California and after graduation enrolled in the nearby (new) Foothill Junior College in the nearby Los Altos Hills. Orientation Day, they led the new students over to see the humongous enclosure that had chain link fencing to keep the mascot safe (it liked it up at the college and they would sometimes take it to Football Games). The VERY LARGE Owl was sitting on it’s suspended perch (a log) and looked to be asleep, however its eyes had slits opened but it made no move to show it cared the group was looking at it. Something looked familiar to me and I moved to the front of the group. Seeing me the Owl opened it’s eyes wide, tucked it’s wings back alongside it’s body and walked back and forth along it’s perch making it’s familiar (to me) WAA-WAA sound! It was my little Owl, all grown up! Our guide said he had never seen the bird behave like that before…I just smiled because I knew why. I'm relatively new to writing novels, with only my third novel due out the end of October. I hope I'll have some of the third books in print before Halloween night as I have contracted to have a Book Signing (in costume) at my local Hastings Bookstore that night. I already have copies of books one and two in the store but would like to have all three books for that night! My first two books are FREE on Kindle starting tomorrow, 3-5 October. You can access the first book, "Immortal Relations" at http://amzn.com/B006ZCBT6G  but be forewarned that it is DEFINITELY an ADULT STORY with lots of EXPLICIT TOGETHERNESS (aka: SEX)! My second book, "Immortal Relations, Love and War" http://amzn.com/B00A4IEHL6 will be FREE on 6 & 7 October. I consider it also ADULT because of sexy talk but it is far less explicit than the first book. Perhaps the second book would fall be PG-17 vs. the R of book one (the prudish would probably rate book one as triple-X). If you enjoy the first two books you might like to get the third book when it comes out the end of October in PRINT or wait until mid-November for the Kindle edition (which I will try to put on sale with the other two at 99 cents). My goal is not to make $$ but to have you read what I believe are really good stories that have a positive message that all those we see as bad are not necessarily the way we initially perceive them. The print I.D. for the third book (which will not be activated until the book is released) is: http://www.amazon.com/dp/1481822780 Once the Kindle version is released I believe the print I.D. will also take you to the Kindle version, probably listed underneath the print version. If you enjoy the stories I hope you'll submit a nice comment on Amazon or Amazon-Kindle to help me get the word out about them. My "take" on the vampires in my stories is TOTALLY UNIQUE! My vampires are diffrent than those in the "Bram Stoker" type novels. My vampires protect humans & other animals from evil vampires, criminals & a greater threat those politicians who try to be Dictators."Immortal Relations" (first novel) http://amzn.com/B006ZCBT6G starts with a true family story and sets the stage for Gary to become a "guardian vampire." http://amzn.com/B00A4IEHL6 "Immortal Relations, Love and War" (second novel) http://amzn.com/B004IEHL6 amps up the action of the first to a fever pitch with an invasion of Russia's Siberia by Chinese Communists to steal resorces & land as well as evil OPEC ministers attempting to destroy Western ecomomies, actions by my guardian vampires to prevent the failure of the Chernobyl Cap and collapse of the reactor building at Fukushima, Japan. My third introducing a young shape shifter-wolf who had no knowledge he's a shifter. He does however, want the young hybrid (vampire-human) who dropped him like a bad habit when he shifted for the first time in front of her on the steps of a nightclub! But the main theme of the third is about humans finding out that vampires really exist and how governments twist the facts to try and institute decatorships, but a rogue asteriod headed for earth threatening an "Extiction Level Event" which, due to distance, radiation and the lack of any need for oxygen or other "life support" a crew of vampires is the logical choice for such a long-range mission to try and keep the asteroid away from earth. The title for the third book is "Immortal Relations Coming Out" and uses the face developed my friend Doug Adams added to my first pre-made book cover.

I realize there are some typos, I am still learning after all, and I'll revisit the stories to make corrections in the future (Good Lord Willing) but the stories are sound & fun in my opinion.

My previous experience with writing is I wrote logistics rules and regulations while in the Air Force, an assessment and treatment book on ADHD while in psychology, along with some treatment program information while working for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. When I was young and loved to run, I summited articles to long distance running magazines and with my interest in motorcycles, trucks and automobiles I submitted numerous pictures and articles to automotive magazines.

The Autumn Book Tour Blog – Guy Ogan

OOK TOUR BLOG from Paul Anthony Associates.
Welcome to the autumn book tour blog. Autumn in England signals the end of summer and a slow movement towards winter as the temperature drops and the nights get longer and darker. With less sunshine and a lost summer it’s also the time many authors get their heads down and historically write more than during any other season. But autumn in England is ‘Fall’ in America and ‘Spring’ in South Africa so you’re invited to discover how different authors approach this time of the year. Come and meet some of my friends who are writers who have either recently published works or are working on books that are likely to be available at the end of this wonderful season. Indeed, they’ve all been asked the same questions as they introduce themselves and their work. So, let’s hear what they have to say. First up is Guy Ogan.

Q. Whereabouts do you live, Guy?

A. West Texas

Q. Are you a full time writer or do you have a regular day job?

A. I’d love to be a full time writer – my characters have so much to say, but alias I have household responsibilities, especially now that I am fully retired (military and State of Texas).

Q. Do you tend to write more this time of the year or do you have a different writing schedule?

A. I frustrate my dear wife by sneaking off to my computer to write whenever I can and if I’m not writing I’m reading my Kindle. Reading and writing are such a joy!

Q. When you’re not writing how do you spend your leisure time? Do you have any particular hobbies or interests?

A. I’m still involved in the automotive world: I used to write for a car magazine part time just for fun, submitting several articles and pictures each week. Here are a couple of my Mustangs: a 66 & a 05 Roush-Mustang. I attend a weekly meeting of “car guys & gals” when I’m not deep into my writing.

Q. What does Autumn mean to you?

A. Relief from the oppressive triple-digit Texas heat! Another upside to the cooler months is we almost never get more than a dusting of snow once a year; we do get ice from time to time and with folks not skilled in driving on it, things can get interesting!  CONSIDER PUTTING AN AUTUMN IMAGE HERE OR AN IMAGE OF INTEREST THAT MIGHT ATTRACT THE READERS EYE.

Q. What part of the world would you most like to live in if you couldn’t live where you are now?

A. While in the USAF I got to serve in and visit many countries, each had its beauty and often a down side as well; I think it is Bret Michaels (sp?) who sings: “Every Rose has its Thorn.” The folks I met in Taiwan (Free China) were great and highly intelligent, Holland had a distinct charm and of course Austria was totally beautiful! I’ve always loved England, if for no other reason their “finest hour” as “Sir Winston” put it (who along with R.J. Mitchell are heroes)!

Q. If you won a million pounds / dollars on the lottery, what would you do with it?

A. My daughter recently suffered her SECOND DIVORCE (I have my own ideas why men cheat but hurting such a wonderful, loving and beautiful young lady - I can't understand). She never wants to be dependent on a man again - you go girl! She is currently a concealed handgun instructor in Houston (where every lady needs a firearm and be trained on how to use it in an emergency!) and taking college courses to be certified as a Physical Therapist - I'd help her set up whatever business she wanted. My son is married with four children (three are from his wife's previous marriage). He is currently a mechanic working on cars, but a great cook (and a great father), so I'd get him a "Bar-B-Q" & more catering business. My wife and I would visit a lot of American cities & Prague (where my first book starts), London (as in book one - I was there many years ago). I'd also visit Russia (also part of the story in my books) and while not in my books, I'd visit Taiwan (the good China). I loved the people there!

Q. With regards to your writing who would you say has inspired you most in your career to date?

A. A comment on Amazon from a reader who said "Immortal Relations" was his "holy grail of vampire novels" and he went on to explain why at length...I couldn't have asked for a more glowing endorsement...it was wonderful to find someone who understood and enjoyed the story. I hope he has found the second and will find the third as enjoyable - they have far less "HEAT" than book one.

Q. What genre do you write in?

A. When I wrote "Immortal Relations" I just figured it was an "ACTION" Story. However a "Beta" reader said it was ADULT PARANORMAL-ROMANCE. After all I am just a man so maybe I can be forgiven for my ignorance about "Romance Novels." I thought "mushy stuff and tear jerker" was what "romance" meant...wow, was I ever wrong! I quickly started reading that genre and found out, "NOW THIS HAD IT ALL - EVERY TYPE OF STORY IMMAGINABLE!" Of course I found a favorite author while doing that, Lisa Renee Jones. An 80's song had lyrics: "HOT - HOT - HOT."

Q. Have you published anything yet or do you have a ‘work in progress’?

A.  Here are my current book covers (number three is of the vampire Gary's face like on book one in outer space with an asteroid behind him hurtling toward Earth - I don't have a copy will transfer):

The above were photos from my old camera off of print copies, the first is cropped & not very clear.

Q. Tell us about your work. Do you have a particular character that figures consistently in your work or are you in the stage of developing a lead character?

A. You can read about the true life family event (including THE picture) that started me writing my novels on the first two pages of http;//amzn.com/B006ZCBT6G "Immortal Relations." The character Gary is taken from my own character, Magdalena (Maggie) is the primary heroine along with Eviana (Evy). Grandmother is the leader of the Residency Coven of Guardian Vampires who try to safeguard humans and animals from evil vampires, human criminals and rogue governments. Adam is he first full vampire born and quickly develops, becoming a General in he Czech Army. A Russian General, Vladimir is an important character in all three books, becoming President of Russia in book two. There are many others throughout the stories but these, along with Vlad Dracula are the major ones. A note about Vlad, he discusses his "bad days" in book three but is now a champion of humans. The first book has a lot of "Explicit Togetherness" (sex) which was not meant to be salacious but to impart that even our good vampires don't have human hang-ups about sex. The second book still has some but it is muted and book three has less still (because book one establishes the lack of hang-ups they have). As the reader who so graciously commented upon my first book said it is, "A tale filled with life lessons, love, sex action and adventure. Complete with new insights into the powers of the immortal vamps, and fresh takes on the complex inner working of their existence." I'd like to think my second & third books continue with those attributes.

Q. What do you think is the most difficult obstacle to overcome in today’s writing world?

A. I'm sure every Indie Author will say that is it "Getting Noticed and Getting Read!" That is where Blogs and other "social media" comes in. Of course the greatest help is word of mouth by readers.

Q. Where can we find out more about your work?

A. My first book, "Immortal Relations" is at http://amzn.com/B006ZCBT6G and my second book is "Immortal Relations, Love and War" http://amzn.com/B00A4IEHL6 (these go to Kindle editions and from there you can go to the print version if you wish). My third in the series is at the publisher and should be available in late October with Kindle release in November (the Kindle address won't be up until it is on Kindle but this will be the print address: http://www.amazon.com/dp/1481822780 BUT THIS ADDRESS FOR THE THIRD BOOK WON'T BE "LIVE" UNTIL THE END OF OCTOBER.

My third book in the series: "Immortal Relations Coming Out" has been sent to the publisher and now I'm waiting on my local art student to finish the cover so I can send it as well, I hope the new book will be available in print on Amazon and digitally on Kindle in October. I'm scheduled to do a book signing on Halloween evening 5 to 9 PM at the Hastings Books in Abilene, TX in Costume, that will be a LOT OF FUN (I have a killer vampire costume).

Friday, August 9, 2013

I just did a Blog on Leslie Ann Sartor's Blog Site for my two current novels in the "Immortal Relations" series http://amzn.com/B006ZCBT6G & http://amzn.com/B00A4IEHL6 and discussed the upcoming third novel as well. L.A. Sartor has a great Blog, is very helpful and I recommend using her site to do your blog!

Blogging Today

I am on a blog today, Wednesday 7, August blog: www.anindieadventure.blogspot.com come check it out!

Another Brick and Mortar Bookstore Adds My Novels & Preparing for the Halloween Book Signing.

In addition to a Halloween book signing at the Abilene, TX Hastings Bookstore from 5-9 pm, the DVDs and Books Half-Priced Store in Paris, TX (sorry France) is taking on consignment my first two novels in the "Immortal Relations" series and I will send them a copy of the 3rd as soon as it is available. One small step for a writer, one giant step for my series! (-;
This photo is of me (last Halloween) in the costume I'll wear for my Halloween book signing. I have some Halloween Props as well if they'll let me use them - what fun that will be!

Monday, July 22, 2013

I'm happy to announce that my local Hastings' Bookstore is allowing me to have a book signing for my third in my "Immortal Relations" series: "Immortal Relations Coming Out." What makes it most fun is that the signing will be on HALOWEEN NIGHT, so I'll wear my super cool vampire costume and hopefully have a few vampire props around me. I've had two previous signings (when the first and second books came out) and had a blast talking "vampires" (both my good Guardian Vampires and their nemesis the evil ones - be they vampires/criminals/or over-reaching politicians). It will be even more fun to do it in costume!

I'm on Cassandra Carr's Blog today, Monday, 22 July

I'm doing a guest blog on Cassandra Carr's Blog today (Monday, 22 July), stop in and say hello and read a little about my series and I'll answer any questions you might have:

http://booksbycassandracarr.com/wordpress/welcome-guest-blogger-guy-organ/

You may have to copy and paste the above site address to your browser. They added an 'r' to my last name but whose complaining...a chance to promote my books is what counts!

I've offered assistance to fellow authors needing information on appropriate weapons for characters in their stories and invited them to use this site to contact me on the matter. As those who've have read either of my current books http://amzn.com/B006ZCBT6G or http://amzn.com/B00A4IEHL6 will know, I'm not at all concerned about being "politically correct" and oppose the abrogation of our Constitution under the guise of "gun control" & consider the current regime in Washington as a Clear and Present Danger to Freedom!

I'LL BE BLOGGING ABOUT MY FIRST TWO NOVELS, "IMMORTAL RELATIONS" http://amzn.com/B006ZCBT6G AND "IMMORTAL RELATIONS, LOVE AND WAR" http://amzn.com/B00A4IEHL6 ON THE ABOVE HOP AND ON Ashlynn Wiliams Blog

Book Signing a Success

Had a good time and talked with a number of very interesting folks at the Book Signing yesterday afternoon (02-02-13) at the Abilene Hastings Bookstore (only retail store now with my books). Hope someday to have other retail stores carry them, but for now it is Amazon and Kindle to get my series of books (the first two are now out): http://amzn.com/B006ZCBT6G for "Immortal Relations" and http://amzn.com/B00A41EHL6 for "Immortal Relations, Love and War" and the third, "Immortal Relations Coming Out" should be out this Summer. You don't have to read the first in order to enjoy the second as their is a short recap of a bit of the first in the second book. Each book will stand alone as an interesting story (but you'll gain insights if you read them in order). The Amazon print versions sell for $8.95 and $7.95 (1st and 2nd) while both are $2.99 on Kindle's eBooks.
