I just posted a bit of information about the "Immortal Relations" series of novels on Alignable.com in response to a question about how effective we thought our internet (URL) location was. I only gave myself a two out of 10 since I seldom post on the site.

With Veterans Day only a couple of weeks away, I thought I'd tell readers that I'm one of the vets mentioned on Kayelee Allen's "Salute to Veterans" blog #Veterans Day #RLF blog #Authors. Not All Whom You Think Are Enemies Are...and Not All Who You Think Are Friend Really Are!

Vampires and Werewolves, both are always immortal enemies and always deadly to humans...these are the foundations upon which the paranormal genre' has historically been built, however, I write from a view that is "outside-the-box" and the premise upon which the series "Immortal Relations" is based is that vampires and werewolves can be on the same side and protective of innocent humans.

In my first book, "Immortal Relations" Gary Logan finds an old photograph of his late father standing in front of a unique clock-face mounted on the side of a very old European building. On the back is a note written in a feminine hand that proves something Gary's mother said many, many years earlier about Gary's father having had a tryst while serving in Europe at the end of World War Two. Gary is both bothered and intrigued so he travels to that city and things start to happen quickly thereafter.

Gary falls head over heals in love with a younger lady who knows far more about his late father than seems possible...if she were human...Gary believes her to be something else. But as they say, love is blind and maybe in this case a little numbing to the brain as well. In short order Gary is inducted into the vampire coven to which she and her daughter belong, but these are not the Bram Stoker type of evil vampires, rather they protect innocent humans from evil vampire and human criminals.

The first book contain fighting against the out of control vampires as well as said criminals, but there is also a great deal of love and development of relationships along with medical and psychological theory. The second book, "Immortal Relations, Love and War" takes off quickly as an old friend, suffering from a terminal disease is made an offer the good vampires hope he won't refuse. Saved from the deadly disease that person suddenly is thrust into the leadership of his entire country which is under attack from terrorists and an invasion from Communist China. Our good vampires must stop what could easily become a nuclear holocaust and it seems that not all those who should support an end to the conflict have their heads and hearts in the right place. In the third book, "Immortal Relations Coming Out" our good vampires believe peace and safety have been secured and look forward to their loving relationships continuing throughout time. But as in human life perceptions can be challenged by reality. An evil regime which had an "arrangement" with the Chinese to forgive part of their excessive debt had the now defunct invasion of Siberia been successful seeks revenge on those they believe helped thwart that invasion.

Not realizing what they are dealing with, the evil regime lashes out, even breaking international law, but in their typically ineffective way and it takes them awhile to realize that they are trying to destroy are immortals. Efforts then turn to "outing" the good vampires and it takes the efforts of a friendly werewolf to prevent the initial outing but the failure of the initial outing is what leads the evil regime to understand that those who they wish to destroy are immortals so they out them, calling them evil vampires in order to gain their deportation from Canada. things heat up between nations but a threat from outer space is seen and must be dealt with. WARNING: The first of these books has been called "Erotic" (but certainly not on the level of the "50 Shades" series) and while I suggest it be read, for those who want less of what I call "Explicit Togetherness" (sex) I suggest starting with the second book which has some but far less explicitness. The second book starts with a conversational summary of the high points of the first book but quickly jumps into the invasion by Communist China of Siberia and then into the ecological disasters that threaten the earth. In this book you will see how corruption in high places is not only found in foreign countries. The third book carries the examination of the corruption of our own government further as evil forces attempt to destroy our guardian vampires as revenge for interfering with the invasion of Siberia by their Communist buddies! Each of these books can be read as "stand alone" novels especially the first two; however, I do suggest that the second book be read before the third to gain the "back story" found in the second before reading the third. P.S. These are stories about vampires who safeguard living humans. Most were "turned" during attacks from the evil, blood-sucking, type of vampire; however, my vampires have refused to abase themselves to that level. They have formed their own guardian covens, obtaining the blood they need from funeral homes they own (following strict funerary procedures). The stories show development of a symbiotic relationship between these good vampires and the human world. In "Coming Out" the human world does become aware of the reality of vampires in their world, both good and evil types. As listed above these stories are ADULT with the first having some of what has been labeled "Erotic" content, not to be salacious but to show how open and caring relationships can (and possibly should) be. There are conflicts with the blood-crazed type of vampires, human criminals and (worst of all) evil politicians determined to enslave the citizens they should be serving! War and death follow on the heels of the self-serving actions of such evil politicians throughout history and it is the same in my stories. These are not the simple Bram Stoker type of vampire stories. I've put up a couple of posts on "Ask David" a publicity forum using Twitter to help new authors get the word out about our books. While the cost is minimal I'm not too sure it has helped over the last year or so I've used the alloted posts (I still have a few posts remaining through their service).

Anyway, in my latest post with them I describle the action in my most recent book of the series, "Immortal Relations Coming Out" as our good vampires monitor the current Marxist regime in Washington D.C.

While the truth of the "fictional" account may not be well received by some, as the saying goes: "The truth shall make you free!" And with the attack on every aspect of our Constitution and Bill of Rights being instigated by the so called "Chief Executive" and his "Tzars" if my third book gets even one person to wake up and smell the stench imminating from that treasonous group it will be worth it!
